Read MoreWe offer customised and flexible Continuing Professional Development Training for solicitors and surveyors. Continuing professional development (CPD) describes the learning activities that professionals engage in to develop and enhance their abilities.
Each professional organisation has different requirements of their professionals which can range from 10-30 hours of additional study per year. This may include a formal training session as a mandatory part of CPD training. The remaining study consisting of informal personal learning, such as reading around a particular subject.
CPD targets are there to ensure that the individual professional continues to develop skills and knowledge throughout their career. Additionally, CPD training allows the individual professional to very importantly stay updated with changes in laws, requirements, or market conditions. CPD training should be a holistic approach towards the enhancement of personal skills and proficiency throughout a professional’s career.
Our valuer has over 30 years of experience, and is a qualified Arbitrator as well as the managing director of a small specialist firm based in Bristol. As a regulated firm of RICS Valuers, we provide a good background of what goes on behind the scenes when a valuer is instructed to provide an opinion of value.
We provide CPD designed for the legal profession, by assisting a lawyer in understanding the process and the requirements of the valuer. And delivering a smoother process between the instruction, acceptance by the valuer, and the production of the valuation report.
We will explain the process in “real time” between instruction of a multiple property valuation for court proceedings as an expert of Part 35 of the Civil Procedure Rules. We use real examples and timescales. With the evidence or lack of evidence, and the assumptions that the valuer has to make.
We want to help you save time and frustration on future instructions by narrowing the gap in understanding between the legal and surveying profession.
